Biggest piece of advice for Penn State students looking to break in the industry?
Show the companies how you can bring value to them. Out-work, out-think, and out-prepare the competition. Always be prepared, because luck favors the prepared. Bring your passion with you every day, be resilient, and persevere."
How has your Penn State experience helped you in your professional career?
Penn State gave me the confidence and courage to believe in myself and to be able to compete. It wasn’t just what I learned in the classroom, but also the skills and competencies I developed as a student-athlete and club leader. Being a part of Lion Ambassadors, Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Society, the Penn State Hockey club enabled me to grow as a person, learn to collaborate with others, instilled a “service before leadership” mentality and an “attitude of gratitude.”
Biggest piece of advice for Penn State students looking to break in the industry?
Breaking into the sports industry can be hard, so networking is really important. Be serious about the job. Understand the time commitment working in sports calls for and be willing to make that sacrifice."
How has your Penn State experience helped you in your professional career?
Penn State taught me so many things, but the main thing is it gave me the skills on how to survive as a small fish in a big pond and working hard to accomplish my goals and make them a reality."

Biggest piece of advice for Penn State students looking to break in the industry?
Network with a purpose. Don't just network to get a business card and call it a day. Stay in contact, ask meaningful follow up questions, and research more about the industries and companies you might want to intern or work for."
How has your Penn State experience helped you in your professional career?
Our work culture at DSG is very team-oriented which has allowed me to utilize my experiences in various clubs on campus and translate that into success within my role and within our team."

Network, network, and more network...when you think you've networked enough, network more! Try to make as many connections as you can and find unique ways to stay relevant with all of these new connections. Plenty of experienced people within the sports industry are eager to build relationships with students and help any way we can."
How has your Penn State experience helped you in your professional career?
Penn State's alumni network is quite impressive. No matter where you travel to, interview, live, etc. there is bound to be a Penn Stater nearby and our widespread network loves cheering for our football team every Saturday."

Biggest piece of advice for Penn State students looking to break into the industry?
If things aren't working out, don't be afraid to do something unconventional to get where you want to be. With abundant technological innovations and the ever-changing sports landscape, opportunities with entrepreneurial and innovative organizations are just as significant as internships or entry-level positions with teams, leagues, agencies, etc. Figure out what interests you and go find it, no matter how big the name behind it is. It's out there. When you do find what you're looking for, network like crazy."
How has Penn State helped you in your professional career?
Penn State pushed me out of my comfort zone very early and I learned to be comfortable with that feeling. I did a lot of things in my four years I'm proud of it because of it. When I'm out of my comfort zone in my personal and professional life, I can be confident in knowing I've found success there before."
